Becoming a Certified Black Belt Lean Practitioner is about realizing your capability by unleashing    the potential of Lean Solutions in your work environment. This program is content rich and practical:    the true value is addressing real challenges and opportunities within your work environment to enable you bring people together to make things better.

This is why the program is composed of four components which provide a unique and engaging learning experience tailored to the individual. The components are:

  • Lean Body of Knowledge: top notch, practical and applicable
  • Improvement project: successfully creating more value and higher job satisfaction.
  • Coaching and mentoring: LGN Lean coaches mentor you to develop your skills and capabilities
  • Masterclasses: experienced Lean Experts inspire by sharing ‘lessons learned’

 

Overview of the Components  (spread over 13-14 weeks):

1-12 Lean Knowledge Self-Study 2-4 hrs. / week 12 weekly sessions of 2 hrs.
2-12 Masterclasses 6 biweekly sessions of 2 hrs.
3-13 Value Stream Project 4 – 8 hrs. / week
1-13 Coaching Mentoring Intake week 1; 1 hr. / every 2 wks

Online Lean Campus

This program is supported by the Lean Global Network  Learning Management System named Lean Campus. This online Learning Environment provides participants with the training materials, videos, homework, contact with other participants and trainer/coaches, a forum, quizzes and test.

Certification Process

  • Online test of Body of Knowledge : questions to be answered within a 2 hour exam. Date is set in advance after the Lean Knowledge courses and Masterclasses are finished.
  • Assessment of Value Stream Improvement Project by senior member of LGN Program staff based on a presentation of the A3, the learning journey of the participant and the results as established by Program staff. Date is planned in consultation with the participant.

Certification Criteria

Participants should score at least a passing score on both criteria as follows:

  • Test : 70% or more of the available 100 points should be collected
  • Assessment of Improvement Project : A PDCA-cycle should be completed by the participant, which results in improvements secured by applying Lean thinking and

International Recognition of Certificate

Lean Management Instituut is an internationally recognized educator and accredited for

professional development programs by the Dutch Government. This program has been taught at renowned universities in Europe and now comes to the Middle East. Upon successful completion of all parts of the certification process the certificate will be issued by the Lean Management Instituut, in collaboration with Lean Gulf Institute with both institutes members of the Lean Global Network.
